PlatinPDF is a free online tool that converts office and document files into real PDF files. This page explains the terms that govern your use of the service and how we handle information when you use it. Please read it carefully. By using PlatinPDF, whether through the website or the mobile applications for Android and iOS, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. The most important thing to know is simple: the files you upload are never stored. They are converted on our own servers and deleted immediately once the conversion is finished.

1. The Service

PlatinPDF is a free online tool operated under the BlueBytes brand. It converts office and document files into genuine PDF files. The service is available through our website and through our mobile applications for Android and iOS.

The conversion is performed with LibreOffice technology (via Gotenberg) running on our own servers, producing a true PDF rather than an image or a screenshot of your document. The following file types are supported for conversion:

  • Word and text documents: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .odt, .txt
  • Spreadsheets: .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .ods
  • Presentations: .ppt, .pptx, .odp

2. Who We Are (Data Controller)

PlatinPDF is operated under the BlueBytes brand. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, the operator acts as the data controller for the limited processing described in this notice.

3. How We Handle Your Files

This is the most important part of this notice, and we want it to be completely clear. The files you upload are not stored on our servers.

When you upload a document, it is converted temporarily on our own servers. As soon as the conversion is complete, both the file you uploaded and the PDF we produced are deleted immediately. The service is stateless: we do not keep copies, we do not archive your documents, and we do not maintain any database of user content.

We do not open, read, view, analyze, or index the content of your files. The conversion is an automated process, and your documents pass through it only for as long as it takes to produce your PDF.

  • Uploaded files are processed temporarily and deleted instantly after conversion.
  • The generated PDF is deleted immediately after it is delivered to you.
  • No copies are retained; the system does not persist your file content.
  • We do not inspect or analyze the contents of your documents.

4. No Accounts, No Third-Party File Sharing

PlatinPDF does not require and does not offer accounts. There is no registration, no sign-in, no email collection, no user profile, and no conversion history. We do not build a database of user content.

Your files are converted entirely on our own infrastructure. They are not sent to any third-party cloud conversion service. The only external party involved is our server hosting provider, which supplies the underlying infrastructure on which the service runs; this is standard hosting and is not a party that receives your files for its own purposes.

5. IP Addresses and Technical Data

To keep the service available and to prevent abuse, our servers temporarily process the IP address of incoming requests. This is used to enforce rate limits and to protect the service against misuse, and it is part of standard server security and logging.

We do not use your IP address to identify you, to build a profile, or for advertising, and we never sell it. Our processing follows the principle of data minimization: we handle only what is necessary to operate the service securely, and only for as long as necessary for that purpose.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

PlatinPDF does not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics. We do not profile you and we do not run ad networks.

To function correctly, the application may use only strictly necessary technical local storage in your browser. This data stays on your device to support the operation of the tool and is not sent to us. Because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, there is nothing to consent to for those purposes.

You remain in full control. You can clear or block local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so may affect how the tool works but will not compromise your privacy.

7. Your Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

PlatinPDF is provided for lawful use only. You are solely responsible for the files you upload, including ensuring that you have the legal right to convert them and that they do not infringe the rights of others.

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the service, other users, or third parties.

  • You must have the rights and permissions necessary for any file you upload.
  • Do not upload content that is illegal or that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Do not attempt to abuse, overload, disrupt, or circumvent the security or rate limits of the service.
  • Do not use the service to distribute malware or to carry out any unlawful activity.

8. Usage Limits

To keep the free service fast and available for everyone, the following limits apply to conversions:

  • Maximum 50 MB per individual file.
  • Maximum 200 MB total and up to 20 files per batch.

9. Disclaimers, Liability, Your Rights, Changes, and Governing Law

The service is provided free of charge and on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every conversion will be perfectly accurate. You use the service at your own discretion and are responsible for keeping your own copies of your original files.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

We comply with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) and, for visitors in the European Union, with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because we do not store your files and do not maintain user accounts or profiles, we hold very little personal data. To the extent applicable law grants you rights over any personal data we process — such as the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing — you may exercise them by contacting us at info@bluebytes.com.tr.

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service or in applicable law. The current version, with its update date, is always the one published on this page. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms and any use of the service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of Türkiye shall have jurisdiction.
