Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
PlatinPDF is a free online tool that converts office and document files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and compatible open formats) into real PDF files, available on the web and as Android and iOS apps. This Cookie Policy explains how PlatinPDF uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies, and, just as importantly, what we do not use. In short: PlatinPDF does not use advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies, and it does not embed third-party analytics. This page is published by BlueBytes, [Company legal name and address], acting as data controller, and is written to be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
1. What Cookies and Local Storage Are
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device to remember information between page loads or visits. Related technologies, such as your browser's local storage, allow a web application to keep small amounts of data on your device so that it can function correctly.
This policy uses the word "cookies" broadly to cover both traditional cookies and similar client-side storage. It explains which of these technologies PlatinPDF actually relies on, which it deliberately avoids, and how you remain in control.
2. Our Approach: No Advertising, Tracking, or Analytics Cookies
PlatinPDF is designed around data minimization. We do not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, behavioral tracking, cross-site profiling, or audience measurement.
Concretely, this means:
- No advertising or ad-personalization cookies.
- No tracking or profiling cookies that follow you across sites or sessions.
- No third-party analytics services (for example, no Google Analytics) embedded in the site.
- No consent banner is required for tracking cookies, because we do not set any.
3. Strictly Necessary Technical Storage
To work correctly in your browser, the PlatinPDF web application may store a small amount of strictly necessary technical data on your device, for example to keep the interface functioning while you select and convert files. This is limited to what is required for the service to operate.
This technical data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us for identification or profiling. Because no account exists on PlatinPDF, this storage is never linked to a registered user, an email address, or a personal profile.
4. No Accounts and No User Content Database
PlatinPDF has no registration, login, email collection, user profile, or usage history. There is no user-content database.
The files you upload are not stored on our servers. Conversion is performed temporarily on our own infrastructure using LibreOffice (via Gotenberg), and as soon as the conversion finishes, both the uploaded file and the generated PDF are deleted immediately. The process is stateless, no copies are kept, and we do not view or analyze the contents of your files. Because there is no persistent user data, there is nothing for a cookie to identify.
5. Server Logs and IP Addresses
Separately from cookies, our server temporarily processes your IP address to enforce rate limits and to prevent abuse of the service. This is standard server security and logging behavior.
Your IP address is not used to identify you personally or to build a profile, and it is not sold. It is handled only for the limited technical and security purposes described above.
6. No Third-Party Cookies or External Trackers
Conversion runs on our own infrastructure; your files are not sent to a third-party cloud service. Only our server hosting provider is involved, purely as infrastructure.
We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics scripts that would set cookies on your device through PlatinPDF. As a result, there are no third-party tracking cookies associated with using the service.
7. Mobile Apps (Android and iOS)
The PlatinPDF mobile applications follow the same approach as the website. They do not include advertising or tracking SDKs and do not profile you.
The apps may keep minimal technical data in local device storage solely so that the application functions. As on the web, this data is not used to identify you and is not sent to us for profiling.
8. How to Control Cookies and Local Storage
You remain in control of any data stored in your browser. You can manage or remove it at any time using your browser or device settings.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and clear stored site data for PlatinPDF.
- Clearing this strictly necessary technical storage may reset some in-session behavior of the web application, but it does not delete any files, since we do not retain your files.
- Because PlatinPDF does not set advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies, there is no separate tracking-consent choice to withdraw.
9. Legal Basis, Changes, and Contact
We process the limited technical data described here in line with the principle of data minimization, consistent with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) and, for visitors in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We may update this Cookie Policy if the technologies we use change. The current version is always published on this page, with the effective date shown above.
